At the village thoroughfare

I really like to get up close when taking pictures of people.  I used a fixed 24mm lens which is pretty wide for some,  and in order to get a decent close-up of this gentleman, I was about 3 feet from him.  My tactic was that I was playing with the camera, pointing it to a lot of things, including the man, the woman and everything else, to get them accustomed to the camera (a rather small one though).  When I got a nice composition, I pressed the shutter release.  I had used even shorter lenses for portraits, or rather, pictures of people.  The pictures would depict the people in the real world, rather than taking the people out of the context of the real-world.
