Summer in Amsterdam

Amsterdam

I live in a sub-tropical region and summer to us means HOT.  It never occur to us that we would sit in the sun, as it could not be considered as any kind of "enjoyment".  When we see pictures such as the above, our mind would simply tell us it can't be right.  But here in Amsterdam, it was a completely different story.  Everyone was out trying to catch a slice of the summer sunny days, as demonstrated by the lady in this picture.
