Sun Rise

Modern digital cameras are truly technology wonders!!  I shot this picture out of my hotel room when the sun was barely out of the hill in front of us.  I was half awake and really wasn't paying much attention when I was reaching for my camera, thinking that this would be one of those shoot-and-delete pictures.  Still, I grabbed my camera, steady it against the window, and took a few shots when the sun started peering out of the side of the hill.  The I went to the bathroom and forgot about the whole thing.  Turned out it was heavily underexposed -- I have the camera set to a setting from the previous day and I was really not thinking much when I was still half asleep.  It wasn't my habit to delete files, so it stayed in my archive for a year or so.  I was rummaging through my archive and stopped and tried to remember what this was about, and started challenging myself with "making something out of the file"..... And here it is, not the greatest, but a far cry from the original, and modern technology, both the sensor and the powerful post-processing applications.  At least this is much better than what I had as a memory.....
