Egret in mid-air

Shadow Dancing
Look at egrets in live action, and they may not be the gracious creature you have know them for.  But freeze them in action, and you are able to take your time to really appreciate the charm and  elegance from their frozen movement.  The clenched claws, stretched feathers, curved wing tips, cranked neck -- they are all so natural, like you won't create it any other way if you were the creator. The morning water is calm, barely any ripple at all, the sun is still behind the morning mists, and the backdrop to this show is creamy translucent, rendering this scene dreamy (or am I exaggerating?).  Makes this Sunday morning all the better.
