6M pixel APS-C sized consumer DSRL

My first taste of water
This picture was taken with a very early consumer DSLR, the first serious DSLR affordable to the mass.  Honestly, I've never taken a picture of water droplets with such vivid details; the sharpness was astonishing, the colors were extremely rich, the tonal range was extravagant -- bear in mind this is a 6M APSC consumer DSLR, back in 2003.  In fact, I found this crop of 6M cameras more than satisfying -- there is a hidden quality, a subtle richness within the pictures.  I missed this and the Nikon D40, they are both very special -- they seem to fall off the fringe of technology progression, yet, I found myself keep yearning for those picture qualities.
