Back!

Hunan, China
Been away for a while, as you might have noticed.  Not physically away, I was here all the time, my computer was on and off as usual.  I was just away mentally, couldn't gather myself to post.  Why?  I really don't know.
I started this blog as a test to myself -- testing my persistence to post a picture everyday.  As of last week, I had almost kept to this promise.  Only under exceptional circumstances -- I was away without access to a computer, I was sick, Blogger broke down, I was drunk at the usual time of posting...... But in the last few days, I was particularly disturbed, my body was at its best, and my mind was muddled. Keep a blog going isn't the easiest thing to do......
Recently, 2 bloggers I know of stopped their blogs.  Kirk Tuck at The Visual Science Lab  and Edwin Leong at The Camera Hobby.
Kirk started his blog in 2009 when the commercial photography business was in doldrums and he had some time in his hands.  We were glad (take it in the right way please) to have him in the blogging community (is there really such a community?).  Throughout these 2+ years, he shared his life (almost) with us, and I must thank him for doing that.
I for one thing cannot really understand how Edwin Leong managed his own site (not a blog, but he posted almost everyday), a family with 2 small children + an extended family (for a Chinese, the extended family isn't that extended), the odd wedding photographer job, a fuller-than-fulltime job, and another site The Nikopn Links.  I also couldn;t understand, he didn't say, why all of a sudden, he stopped posting at his site.
Truth is, keeping a blog or a web-site isn't something very stimulating -- you were talking to thin air everyday and you hope that somehow, somewhere, someone would notice......
For now, I'll try to continue with "my pursuit for non-mediocrity".  But I'm not sure for how much longer.....
