Timing is everything

ShenYang, China
This is one of my favorite pictures.  The sun was setting quickly and the highlights and shadows were shifting quickly.  I noticed the tree between the two knolls was particularly standing out, but it was still brightly lit, blending it with the background mount which was also brightly lit.  However, I also noticed that it was at the foothills of the knoll to the left and the shadow was moving fast across and it would be in the shadow very soon. So I set up the camera and waited, and not within five minutes, it was in the shadow completely and its silhouette was standing out, plus its reflection over the water was as conspicuous as it could be.  Snap and I have this marvelous undulating shadow of the rolling hills against the serrated bright mountain at the back.
