Hard lifes in remote Ping Tin Village

Ping Tin
In this day when aluminum sidings and composite shingles are relatively affordable, these houses of bricks of clay and roofs of mud are not uncommon in the more remote areas of China. They make a very picturesque photo, especially in this evening when dinner was being prepared over stoves burning low grade coke.  The smoke from the smothering stoves may make this scene very surreal, but in reality, life is hard in these remote villages.
