December sun

North York, Toronto
This was taken with a 1st generation "consumer DSLR".  I was shooting with JPeg, and everything was as set by the camera -- I was still struggling with adapting to the new world of digital.  The original picture came out without the "punch", not exactly as I've seen the scene.
The last ray of sunlight was hitting the tree tops and the rows and rows of suburban middle-class dwellings.  The warm December sun was giving a warm glow to the whole picture.  Without proper tweaking, the original photo was over-exposed and lacked the contrast to highlight the barren branches of the trees.
