In a sunny afternoon

Lippo Center
Off I go with a 28mm lens on a full frame camera -- nothing else.  You know, the kind of practice everyone is telling you to do once in a while to "horn your sense of perspective".

Lippo Center, Lift Lobby
I guess if I hang on for another 30 minutes, I should be able to get another more "interesting" coordinated silhouette dancing.

Central Government Offices
It was a sunny afternoon, and a cool one.  There could not be a better day for sun bathing on this meticulous lawn -- a rare one in this city.  The lawns were either too bald, or they were off limits.  This was a rare sight, especially they scantily clad women.  I couldn't help but to ask for their permission and took this picture.

Pier no. 8
The colors in the original picture would be too distracting -- there are just too many contrasting colors that shout to each other.  Black and white renders this picture a much more tranquil feel.

Star Ferry Pier
Just a show-off of the OCD-ness in me.

Red Sail against the Island skyline
The "Chinese junk" just appeared out of nowhere, with a full sail, catching the full glory of the afternoon sun. With all other distracting elements taken out, the red added another dimension to the picture.

Exhibit in the square
The general lack of color in this picture rendered the few specks of color all so interesting.   (OKay, I cheated, I played around with local saturation a bit.)

Doll against sculpture
In contrast to the previous picture, this one is all about color.....

Ku Fu Kid
Couldn't understand why this sculpture would inspired the ku fu kid with his all-out urge to show off.... and had apparently stunned the lady...

Victoria Harbor
That was a joyful afternoon -- a very nice walk, a scenic ferry ride, a fruitful tour of the museum, and a cool beautiful sunset to conclude the day.  No, I didn't stay till sunset; oh no, the sun had technically set, but the golden hour had yet to linger on....
